Renaissance Custom Builders working on window restoration at The Bronck House noticed multiple masonry restoration needs, they employed Cassella Construction Corp. to work on the stone foundation corner. We went to work disassembling the stones and saving them for re-construction. While in the basement we chipped and cleaned existing masonry joints in the foundation wall, and tuckpointed them with a fresh mortar mix (specs. supplied by The Architect). As seen in the photo above, newly tuckpointed masonry joints in stonework.
More work to follow this Spring, re-building the exteriior brick corner and tuckppointing the gable end.
