The Striefenador barn was constructed in the late 1700s. It had a common brick foundation laid up in lime mortar cement. During excavation it was discovered that it did not have an adequate footing. Excavation then continued to frost line, forms were installed, and a re-enforced concrete footing was poured. The re-building was laid up in concrete block to reduce labor and material cost. As seen in the photo above, south elevation view of finished walls.
